To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the bottom of the phone

Once the phone is activated you will see the lock screen. Swipe up and this will take us to the Home screen.

On the home screen, we need to find the Viber tile
.
Mine is located here, there is a purple tile background, and in the middle there is the Viber logo, which is a white speech bubble with a white phone inside. If you have not pinned the Viber tile to your home screen, swipe left and find it in your apps menu.

Once you've located the Viber tile, press down on it, and it will allow you to enter the application

Once the application is loaded, we need to find the settings menu
.
To do that, we need to find the icon in the bottom right corner, with the three white dots in a row. This is the menu icon. It does not matter what section you are in, right now we are in the "Calls" section. If we swipe to the other sections, they all have the same icons, so don't worry which section you are in, just find the icon in the bottom-right hand corner.

Press it and then you will see the word "settings" appear in the bottom left hand corner

We want the option that says "Notifications" in black text

Press down on that and you will see some options.

We can choose to "add Viber notifications to the lock screen" at the top
.
We can also choose to "Show joined Viber notification", if someone joins Viber then you can receive a notification. To turn this on or off, just press down on one of the icons and swipe to the left. It will now be turned off.

If you want to turn this option on, press down on the icon and swipe right

The purple bar will now reappear, and it is turned on.

The second option we have is Push Notifications
.
This is if we receive a message or a phone call. We can turn this on or off simply by doing the same thing.

If we turn this option off we get the message; "Push notifications notify you of incoming messages and calls
.
Are you sure you want to turn them off?" It's probably not a good idea to turn this off because then it will make it difficult for you to know when people are sending you messages and trying to phone you. It's better to keep this option on.

The third option is to "Show message preview"
.
You can see part of a message, or a preview of the message. You can turn this on and off as well, just by swiping left to right, or right to left.

These are all notifications that will appear on the lock screen
