There is only one option in our menu, and it is "Settings"
    .
Press down on the word "Settings". Our TalkBack settings will open. The TalkBack function allows the HTC One M8 to talk directly to us. It can tell us what the icons are, and what we can press on the screen. It's very useful for people with limited sight, blindness, or other sight issues.

The option we are looking for is to "Use proximity sensor" to silence speech
    .
If the HTC One M8 is talking to us and we go to pick up the phone, it will silence the speech. This can be very useful since we don't have to find the stop icon. We can just touch or pick up the phone, and the proximity sensor will sense the movement and stop talking. It can also be quite frustrating if we just wanted to move or pick up the phone, and it stops speaking. We can customize this option, by turning it on or off. Currently, it's turned on. The box is green with a white check inside. Underneath, it says, "Proximity sensor silences speech." This option is currently activated.

If we want to turn this option off, then press down on the box, until the box is empty
    .
Now it says, "Proximity sensor does not control speech." If we're happy with this, that's good.

If we are not happy, and would like to change it back, just press down on the box, until the check is there
    .
Now the option is activated again.
