Here, we have a lot of advanced WiFi options
    .
If we scroll down, we can see we have the "Hotspot sign-in" option. It says, "Automatically open sign-in web pages for Internet access". This option is currently activated. We know that because the box on the right-hand side of the screen is green and has a white check in it. That means that it is activated. What it means is that when we are using hotspots or public WiFi networks, if we go to a website where we need to sign in - where we need to give our password and username - then we won't have to do this. It will automatically open these pages for us if we have those settings setup on those pages - our personal settings that allow us to access those web pages without inputting our password or username. It will continue to do that and it will allow us access to the network. These WiFi networks are obviously unsecured because they are public which means that people may be able to access some of our web pages so we may want to change this option so that we actually have to put our password and username in to access this web page. This will be different on a private network because it is protected by a password and we won't have this option but on hotspots and public WiFi networks, this may be an option for us.

If we want to deactivate this option and not allow the HTC One M8 to grant us access to pages automatically without having to sign in, then press down anywhere on this section and it will take the check away and make the box white

However, if we like the easy access and if we like that it automatically opens these web pages for us when using a WiFi hotspot and that it doesn't ask for our password, then press down on the box so that the check has appeared and the box is green again
