Edited by Thor, Rushell, Eng
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video we are going to show you how to turn on and off the option to allow full-screen mode without asking in Google Chrome on an HTC One M8.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone
.
2
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen
.
3
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards
.
4
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see several icons
.
It is one of these icons that we now need to activate in order to open Applications folder.
5
We need the icon at the bottom of the home screen and in the middle
.
We can see that there is a grid of white dots. Press down on this icon, and it will open our "Apps" folder.
6
In this folder, we need to find the Google "Chrome" application
.
It has the Google Chrome icon, which is a circle made up of different colors. Underneath, it says the word "Chrome". This icon may be located anywhere in the "Apps" folder.
7
Once it has been found, press down on the Google Chrome icon to enter the application
.
8
Once Google Chrome is open, we need to press down on the icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen
.
There are three small black dots a vertical line. Press down on this icon to open a menu.
9
On the menu that appears, scroll down to the word "Settings" and press down on that to open the "Settings" menu
.
10
We need to scroll down again on the "Settings" menu until we see the "Site settings" option
.
Press down on this option, and it will open up the "Site settings" menu.
11
Scroll down to the option that says, "Full screen"
.
Underneath that option it currently says, "Ask first". That is the option currently selected.
12
When we press down on the "Full screen" option, we will see one option at the top of the next screen
.
It says, "Full screen - Ask first", and there is a switch on the right side of the screen that is gray, meaning that this option is deactivated.
13
If we don't want the Google Chrome application to ask us first before making the "Full screen", such as when we are trying to watch a video or listen to music, then we can turn the option on by tapping on the switch on the right side of the screen
.
14
Now, the switch is blue, and it says "Full screen" is "Allowed"
.
That means it doesn't need to ask us permission.
15
If we want to turn this option off and deactivate it, or we do want to be asked about "Full screen" mode, then press down on the switch again until it turns gray
.
This means it's deactivated, and it will say "Ask first".
16
This concludes our tutorial on how to turn on and off the option to allow full-screen mode without asking in Google Chrome on an HTC One M8
.
