    Press the power button located on the right side of the phone to turn the phone on

    Once you have turned the phone on you will see the lock screen.

    Swipe the lock screen up to unlock the phone and display the home screen

    Find and tap the News tile on the home screen

    The tile image will change thumbnails based on recent news articles, and will switch to a preview of the article with white text on a red background. If the News tile is not pinned to the home screen, swipe from right to left to open the App menu. Find and tap News to open the News app.

    Once news alerts in the News application have been setup, the News application will display breaking news notifications at the top of the screen and may make a noise, regardless of the app you are currently using

    Tap the menu icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to open the options menu
