Steps

Turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone
.
Once the phone is activated, the lock screen will appear.

Swipe the lock screen up to get to the home screen

Locate and tap the Maps tile on the home screen to enter the application

If the icon is not on the home screen, then swipe left to find Maps in the application menu.

Press the three white dots in a line to open a menu to switch to the aerial view
.
The current view shows a map that shows roads and street and city names, and it is not an actual representation of the location. Turning the aerial view on will allow seeing the satellite image that reveals objects, terrain and landscape in full color. The aerial view might be a bit clotted, and this is why the starting view is a map. Less information in the map view makes it easier to identify streets.

Tap "view options"

The "VIEW OPTIONS" menu will appear that has the "aerial view" line listed at the top. There is a white check box next to "aerial view". It has no check inside of it; therefore, the aerial view is turned off.

To turn the aerial view, tap the white box next to "aerial view"

A white check should appear inside of the box. This will place the check, as it was not there.

Tap the icon with a white check in a white circle at the bottom of the screen
.
This confirms and saves the view options and switches back to the previous screen. Instead of the map view, the satellite image is now shown with all forests, trees, houses, and roads. It may give a much better understanding of the location. Aerial view gives the advantage of visibility of all landscape and terrain in color.

To turn the aerial view off, tap the three white dots in the bottom right corner of the screen
