Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Gmail application
.
There is a Gmail icon, which is an envelope with a red 'M', and underneath it says the word "Gmail". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. We now need to find the settings menu.

To do that, we need to tap the icon in the top left-hand corner

There are 3 horizontal lines. This will open up a menu.

Scroll down and tap on "Settings"

Tap on the middle option, which will be the email address set up with the application

In this example, it's "visihowl@gmail.com". This will open our account options.

Scroll down to find the option labeled "Images" and press down on it

Underneath it says, "Always show", which is currently the selected option. Pressing on this option will bring up 2 options.

Tap on the chosen option

The choices are "Always show" or "Ask before showing". If we want to be asked before we are shown a photo or image, then we should choose "Ask before showing".

Now we can see that it says "Ask before showing" underneath of "Images"

If there are any images in an email, it will ask us before showing them.

To change it, press down on it again and tap on the other option
