Edited by Thor, Rushell, Eng
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to turn on and off the option to let Facebook change the lock screen background of a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the right-hand side of the phone
.
2
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen
.
3
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards
.
4
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and it is here that we need to find the Facebook tile
.
5
It has a blue tile background, and in the bottom right-hand corner of the tile, there is the "Facebook" icon, which is a white square with a blue "f" on top
.
6
Press down on the "Facebook" tile to enter the application
.
7
We now need to use the icon located on the far right side of the screen in the white bar
.
There are three gray horizontal lines.
8
Press down on that icon to open up the "More" menu
.
9
We want the option that says, "Settings", so press down on that
.
10
On the next menu, we want the option that says, "Lock screen"
.
Underneath, it says the word "Off" in blue text, indicating that this is the option currently selected.
11
Press down on this option to bring up a message
.
It says, "Set as lock screen? Do you want to let this app change your lock screen background? It may update the background image periodically."
12
If we want to allow this, press down on the word "yes" on the bottom left
.
13
This will bring up some additional options
.
At the top, it says "Lock screen You can personalize you lock screen with a rotating selection of photos from your Facebook albums."
14
In the bar just below that message it currently says, "all albums"
.
15
If we press down on that bar, it gives us a choice of different albums
.
16
Choose an option by pressing down on it
.
17
There are two different styles shown at the bottom, and the one on the right is has a blue border with a white check mark in the top right corner
.
This means that option is selected.
18
The style on the right is different from the left because it is one big picture, and the one of the left has a selection of different pictures at the top
.
19
Press down on the desired style until it has the blue border and the white check in the top right-hand corner
.
20
Once we're happy with all of these choices, we can press down on the blue circle with a blue check inside
.
21
Then it will say, "We're saving your settings"
.
22
Now, that will have changed everything
.
On the lock screen, we should see images from our Facebook album. To turn this option off, we actually have to go to the Settings menu. We can't do it the same way that we just turned it on.
23
We can go to the main Settings menu by first swiping the Notifications panel down
.
24
Press down on "ALL SETTINGS" at the top right corner
.
25
On the "Settings" menu, we want the option that says "lock screen"
.
Press down on that option.
26
At the top of the "lock screen" settings, it says "Background", and "Facebook" is in the box
.
27
Press down on "Facebook" to bring up the option to "CHOOSE BACKGROUND"
.
We can change the lock screen background by pressing down on one of the options.
28
This concludes our tutorial on how to turn on and off the option to let Facebook change the lock screen background of a Microsoft Lumia 535
