Turn On and Off Login Alerts in Facebook on Microsoft Lumia 535
Edited by Thor, Alexander Avdeev, Eng
Hello! Welcome to VisiHow! In this video, we are going to show you how to turn on and off login alerts in Facebook on the Microsoft Lumia 535.
To begin, we turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone. Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, we swipe the screen upwards. Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen.
We need to find the Facebook tile on the home screen. The tile has a blue background with a Facebook icon in the bottom right-hand corner. The icon is a white square with the blue "f" inside. Tapping the tile will allow us to enter the application.
Now, we need to tap the icon with three gray horizontal lines to open up a menu. The icon is in the top right-hand corner.
We need to tap the "Settings" option to open up a menu.
We tap the "Privacy settings" option to open up a menu.
We need to tap the "Security" option to open up a menu.
We need to tap the "Login Alerts" option. It reads: "Get an alert when anyone logs in to your account from a new device or browser." This is a way of keeping our account safe. What will happen is that if someone tries to log into our account from a new device or browser, then we will receive an alert. We can tap this option now to be taken to a menu that will have three different ways to receive alerts. We can receive an alert from notifications in Facebook, by email, or by a text message. All of the options are currently turned off. If we want to turn them on, we can tap them.
We are going to tap "Notifications". The new page will show that the "Don't get notifications" is currently selected. There is a blue circle with a white check inside. That means that the option next to it is selected, and we will not receive any login alerts. If we want to change that, we can.
We just tap "Get notifications". We'll change the option.
We need to tap "Save" in the blue bar. That will save the "Notifications" option. There will be "On" next to "Notifications", and we will receive a Facebook notification when someone tries to log into our account from a new device or browser.
We can turn on and off the "Email" and "Text messages" options as well. We have to follow the same procedure of tapping and turning them on or off, if we need to.
This concludes our tutorial on how to turn on and off login alerts in Facebook on the Microsoft Lumia 535.
