Hello and thank you for watching VisiHow. Today, we'll show you how to turn on and off link sharing in Google Drive on the LG L70.
Steps
1
To begin, we'll the unlock the phone by pressing the top right-hand side Power button
.
2
Then swipe up one time to access the home screen
.
3
From here, we need to access Google Drive, which is not on the home screen
.
4
We can access it through our "Apps" menu by pressing on the "Apps" icon in the lower right-hand corner
.
It is a gray box with a set of white squares inside of it.
5
Tapping on that icon one time will open the "Apps" menu, where we can scroll left and right until we locate the icon for "Drive", which is a multi-colored triangle
.
6
Tapping on this icon one time will open the application
.
7
Once we've opened Google Drive, we are viewing "My Drive"
.
We need to scroll through the list of documents until we find the document for which we'd like to turn on link sharing.
8
To the right of each document is a small gray circle with a letter "I" inside of it
.
9
Once we've located a document, we need to tap on "I" that is next to the document we would like to edit
.
10
This opens a new menu of options
.
11
Scroll down to the section that reads, "Who has access"
.
The first option in this section states, "Link sharing is OFF". The document we're using in this demonstration is a "Private" document, which means I am the only person that can view it.
12
In order to turn on link sharing and allow someone else to either edit or view this document, we need to tap on the gray icon with a paperclip next to "Link sharing is OFF"
.
13
The icon will turn green, and we will see a website link to that document popping out from the right side of the screen
.
14
Once we've turned On link sharing, it defaults it to "Anyone with the link can view" the document
.
However, they cannot edit the document.
15
If we want to allow people to edit the document, we can tap the paperclip icon one time to bring up a new window of options
.
16
We can then change the radio button to highlight "Can edit"
.
17
Then tap on "OK" at the bottom right corner
.
18
Now, we've changed the permissions for this document, so anyone we send the document link to "Can edit" the document
.
19
To turn Off link sharing, tap on the paperclip icon
.
20
The third option is "Turn link sharing OFF", so we'll highlight that radio button
.
21
Then select "OK" in blue at the bottom right
.
22
We can see now that the icon with the paperclip has turned back to gray, and "Link sharing is OFF" once again, making our document completely "Private"
.
23
To exit Google Drive and go back to the home screen, we can press the bottom center button
.
24
This concludes today's tutorial on how to turn on and off link sharing in Google Drive on the LG L70
