Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video we're going to show you how to turn on or off the vibration feedback when typing on an HTC One M8.
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on top of the phone. Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.
To unlock the phone, press down on the screen. Hold down, and swipe up.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen. At the bottom, there will be icons.
Now, we need to find the settings icon, for the "Settings" menu. To do that, we swipe the notification panel down. To do that, press down at the top of the screen, hold down, and swipe down.
Now we can see that the notification panel has appeared. Here, is the icon that we're looking for. In the top, right-hand corner of the screen, there is a white cog icon. This is our settings icon.
Press down on it, and it will open up our "Settings menu". We can see it says the word "Settings" in the top, left-hand corner of the screen.
Now we'll scroll down until we get to the "PHONE" section. We can see the word "PHONE" inside of a grey bar.
Scroll down in this section until we find the words "Language & keyboard". Next to these words, we can see an icon that looks like a capital 'A' inside of a 3D box. Press down on this section. It will open up a menu.
In this section, we're looking for an option that says "HTC Sense Input, Keyboard options". Press down on this section to open up this menu.
We're looking for the option that says, "Vibration feedback, Vibration feedback when tapping keyboard." It's currently selected. There is a white check mark inside of a green box. That means it is currently activated. This is the default setting. When we're typing, every time we touch or tap the keyboard, we'll feel a vibration. It helps us to know that we're actually pressing the buttons. It does take a bit of battery life, and can drain the battery pretty fast. This may not be necessary for everyone. Make the choice that is right for you.
Let's try turning it off. Press down on the box. When the check mark is gone, and the box is empty, it means the function has been deactivated.
If we press down on the box, and the check mark is there and the box is green, then that means the function is activated.
This then concludes our tutorial on how to turn on or off the vibration feedback, when typing on an HTC One M8.
