- 1In this video, Spotlight will show our Mail results, Safari web sites, and Notes results. We can exclude applications from the Spotlight search. An important reason to do this is to increase the speed and memory on our device. There is no reason to index the items if we are not going to use them.For example, we can type "VisiHow" in the Spotlight search.
