Turn Off Spotlight Search for an Application on an iPhone

You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to exclude applications from the Spotlight search in iOS 9. The Spotlight search is very powerful.

Steps

    For example, we can type "VisiHow" in the Spotlight search. In this video, Spotlight will show our Mail results, Safari web sites, and Notes results. We can exclude applications from the Spotlight search. An important reason to do this is to increase the speed and memory on our device. There is no reason to index the items if we are not going to use them.

    We can tap on "Settings".

    We tap on "General".
