Turn Off Skype Notifications on HTC One M8
Edited by Thor, Crystal, Eng
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off all notifications in Skype on an HTC One M8.
To begin, unlock the phone. We can do that by pressing down on the power button located on top of the phone. We'll then need to swipe the lock screen up, and that will take us to the home screen.
On the home screen, we need to tap the icon at the bottom of the phone, in the middle. There is a grid made us of white dots. This will open up the applications folder.
In this folder, we need to find and tap the Skype application. There is a Skype icon, which is a white "S" on top of a blue cloud, and underneath it says "Skype".
We now need to tap the menu icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. There are three small white dots in a vertical line.
Tap "Notifications", "Get alerts for new calls and messages". As it said, this is for notifications about phone calls, messages or anything related to Skype. We can turn these notifications on or off. At the top, there will be a switch with the word "ON" inside.
We can turn notifications off by pressing down on the switch. The switch will turn gray and say "off". All of the notifications are turned off. We will not receive any notifications from Skype.
To turn the notifications back on, press down on the switch again and it will turn blue with the word "ON".
This concludes the tutorial on how to turn on and off all notifications in Skype on an HTC One M8.
