Before we begin this tutorial, it's important to note that turning off an application allows you to turn it on or off as you like. Disabling the application, however, means that you lose the associated settings and saved items with the application. In this tutorial, we are just going to turn off S Voice. If you want to turn it on later, you can go back through this tutorial and repeat the process.

   Make sure your phone is unlocked

   Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification panel

   In the upper-right corner of the notifications panel, tap on a white gear-shaped icon

   This will open the "Settings" panel.

   Scroll down through the "Settings" panel until you find the "Applications" option

   To turn S Voice off, tap the green toggles next to each option

   Next, tap on "Voice wake-up"

   You will notice that the slider turns grey and the word "On" switches to "Off" when you have changed this setting for voice wake-up.

    Now, tap on the back arrow in the top-left corner of the screen

    You will return to the S Voice settings. After you have completed these steps, S Voice will no longer be listening to you. "Auto start speakerphone", "Voice feedback", and "Wake up in secured lock" have been turned off, as indicated by the grey sliders. The application is still functional. You can simply repeat steps 1-9 to turn the S Voice options back on.
