    In order to disable the Auto-Brightness on the iPad, you'll need to press the "Settings" icon one time.

    One press on Settings will open the Settings menu. On the Settings menu you're looking for "Display & Brightness," which is indicated by two white letter As in a blue box.

    Press Display & Brightness one time and this will open the Display & Brightness panel.

    On the panel you'll see a green switch in the top, directly under the "BRIGHTNESS."

    This is where the Auto-Brightness is turned on or turned off. Give a single press to auto brightness to turn it off.

    Then if you like you can turn your brightness back up to a level that suits you.
