Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to turn on and off the option to receive creative suggestions in the Photos application on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

   We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

   There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap on the Photos icon

   .

   It is an icon of a shape made up of different colors, and underneath, it says the word "Photos". Your photos application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. We want to demonstrate how to turn on and off the option to receive creative suggestions.

   To do that, we need to find the settings menu by tapping on the icon in the top left-hand corner

   There are three horizontal lines. This will open the menu.

   Tap on "Settings" and it will open up the settings menu

   We want the second option labeled "Suggest new creations", and underneath it says "Get Assistant cards for things like movies & collages built from your library"

   This option is currently turned on so we will receive these Assistant cards. They are quite useful because they give us ideas, hints, and tools to help us understand the different functions. However, once we've read them enough, we probably don't need to see them.

   To turn this option off, press down on that section

   The switch on the right is now gray. If we want to turn it back on, we can just tap on it again and then switch will turn blue.
