Edited by Thor, Claudia, Eng
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how you can turn Bluetooth on and off on an HTC One M8.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on top of the phone
.
2
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen
.
3
To unlock the phone, press down on the screen until we see the lock icon and swipe up
.
4
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen
.
At the bottom, we will see these icons here. What we're going to do in this video is show you how we can turn Bluetooth on and off. There are two ways to do this.
5
The quickest way to do this is to find our Quick Menu and that is in our notification panel
.
To bring out our notification panel, we need to swipe it down.
6
Let's do that by pressing down at the top of the screen, holding down and swiping down
.
7
Now we can see that our notification panel as appeared
.
8
If we press down the screen again, hold down and swipe down, we can see that this has brought up our Quick Menu
.
9
What we have then is the Bluetooth option here that says the word "Bluetooth" in capitals and above it, it has the Bluetooth icon
.
10
Right now it's white and this means it's turned off
.
It's the default setting for the Bluetooth to be turned off, because it does take up a lot of battery power. It's good to turn it on when we need it. If we don't need it, turn it off again. If we want to transfer something via Bluetooth, it's very useful, and then we can turn it off if we don't need it anymore.
11
Press down on the icon until it turns green
.
12
Now that both the icon and the line is green, it means that the function is now turned on
.
13
If we press down on the icon again, it will go white and we can see that now that it has been turned off
.
14
The other way we can access the Bluetooth is to go the Setting menu
.
If we're not in this area for whatever reason, and we find that were in the settings menu already, then we can access this option as well.
15
This is the icon we need in the top right-hand corner of the screen and we can see it's the Settings white cog icon
.
16
Press down on it and it will open up our Settings menu
.
17
We can see it says the word "Bluetooth" right at the top, one of the first options
.
It says "Bluetooth" and it says "Off" as well.
18
If we press down on the icon on the far right-hand side of the phone, where it says "OFF" in a box, it'll turn on the Bluetooth function
.
19
We can see there it says the word "ON" and there is a green part of the box
.
This is just another way of activating this function, but the first option shown is the quickest option.
20
This then concludes our tutorial on how to turn Bluetooth on and off on an HTC One M8
.
