Most of us like to install or transfer multimedia files onto our devices, or to transfer multimedia files from our mobile to our computer. If you have a Sony Xperia device, it's easy, and you don't need to download the application for transferring, as it should be automatically installed in your computer once you connect your mobile to your computer.
Moving Files To And From Your Sony Xperia
In this article we will provide you basic instructions for transferring multimedia files to and from your Sony Xperia mobile.
- 1You MUST use the connector cable that came with your mobile. You can try a connector that is compatible to your mobile, but they never work as well as the one intended for your device, and often, if they are cheap ones, don't work at all. If you've lost, or misplaces the original cable, it would be best if you purchased exactly the same one that came with your Sony Xperia. You need to have your Sony Xperia USB connector/cable.
- 2Connect your USB connector to your Sony Xperia mobile, and then to your computer.
- 3Tap "Install" to install this application on your computer.Once connected there will be a popup message on your mobile, asking you to install PC Companion.
- 4The best one is "Media Go". # On the PC Companion, click on "Media Go" to install it on your computer. After you install the PC Companion, it will give you an option to install another application that you can use to transfer multimedia files.
- 5Click on your device, and it will show the options like photos/video.Then on Media Go, you should see your Sony Xperia device has been recognized by it.
- 6Click on the multimedia type of file you want to transfer.
- 7It will then copy to your computer from your mobile and vice versa. # If you want to copy from your computer to your mobile, go to the Media Go library and click the multimedia file type that you want to transfer, and then select the file you want to transfer. Drag this to your mobile device, and it will be copied.Locate the file you want to transfer, highlight it, and then drag it to the library of your computer.
