Transfer Files from Samsung Galaxy S3 to PC and Vice Versa

It's convenient to share and transfer files wirelessly, since it doesn't require anything other than your devices. Using a cable, though, can still be helpful, especially if you are transferring a lot of files. Today, we will look at the steps needed to transfer files from your Samsung Galaxy 3 to your computer, and vice versa.

Phone to a Windows XP Computer and Vice Versa

    Connect the micro USB end to the USB port on your phone and the other end to the computer's USB port

    On your computer, access "My Computer" and double click on '"Samsung-SGH-I747"

    You can also click on "Open Device to View Files" if a notification about the device pops up on the lower left corner, when you plug in the cable.

If your phone is showing that it's connected to your computer, but your computer can't find your device, you will need to download and install Samsung Kies. Once it's installed, plug your Samsung Galaxy S3 into your computer with its original USB cable and you'll be able to transfer your files to your computer with Kies.

You don't need to install Bluetooth drivers on your Samsung Galaxy S3. Your phone comes with its Bluetooth drivers pre-installed.

I've tried different USB cords, but when I plug the phone into the computer, there is no option for the Samsung Phone. It doesn't show up as a "drive". Any suggestions?

I could not connect my Samsung J005F to windows XP for file transfer, though I have tried to find USB utilities in settings I could not find it. Kindly suggest me exact setting for file transfer. I have tried to connect Samsung J005F to Windows PC but I could not transfer the files / pictures from internal memory. Even though I have managed to transfer photos from mobile camera, but internal memory in my PC is not displayed, why is it so ? I have tried: Connected my mobile with PC and clicked USB tethering but PC could not detect internal memory. I think it was caused by: My setting might not be properly managed. Kindly furnish me proper setting.
