I have Samsung S2 and I'm trying to get the music from it to the computer so I can put it into a CD

In order to perform this, you need to connect your device to your computer. After you have connected your device to your computer, a pop-up will appear that will let you select and open files and folders.

How do I transfer my voice recordings to my PC?

I just want to move my voice recordings to my PC and edit them using a program, but I don't know how. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and my Laptop is an Acer aspire with Windows 8.

The easiest way would be using Samsung's own sync software called Kies. You can download the Windows version here:

http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/

There are other ways you can transfer the files over. If you have a microSD USB card reader, you can simply copy the voice recording files from your phone to microSD and then take it out and use the card reader to transfer to Laptop.

If you have both the phone and Laptop connected to the same WiFi network, you can also transfer it over the air. Use the WiFi transfer app from the play store here:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smarterdroid.wififiletransfer&hl=en

Lastly, you can transfer/share your files using cloud storage. Either Dropbox or Google drive will work. You just need to sign up for an account on your phone and then upload the files. Log in again from the Laptop to the same account and you should be able to download them.

Internal stored photos from phone to PC?

Trying to empty my photos stored on internal memory to my Toshiba PC from a Samsung Galaxy SII via USB.

There are two methods you can try to transfer your photos from phone to PC. The first will require the Kies sync software, which you can download from Samsung's site here:

http://content.samsung.com/us/contents/aboutn/kiesIntro.do

The installation will include the USB mobile drivers for your phone and you can use the software to make your transfer.

If you don't want to install the whole Kies software package, you can just install the USB drivers, found here:

Once installed, plug your phone into your PC's USB port and select MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) to make your photo transfers.

I can't find Samsung Kies.

There are a lot of ways for you to launch your Samsung Kies that you installed on your computer. Here are the things you need to know.

How to Launch the Launcher from the Root Folder:

1. On your computer, go to the Start button located on the bottom left side.

2. On the pop-up menu, click on the "Computer".

3. On the computer panel, on the left-hand side of the screen under the Computer, you will see your Local Disk (C:) or if you have a dual boot select the correct drive.

4. Once you have accessed the local drive, you will see a lot of folders. Click on the "Program Files" then look for the folder "Samsung Kies" and open it.

5. Click on the executable file that looks like a letter K with a Letter I in orange color, and the Samsung Kies will be launched on your computer.

Launch using the search menu.

1. On your computer, click the "Start button" located on the left side bottom of the screen

2. On the pop-up menu, click the "Search programs or file". Then type the Samsung Kies and "Do Not" press enter.

3. There will be a list of applications shown on screen from the Start menu panel and the Samsung Kies application or folder will be listed. Look for the launcher to launch the program and start working with it.

Launch from the List of programs:

1. This is not the same as with the first suggestion, as you will find this in the Start menu only. Click the Start button again.

2. On the Menu, there will be a portion that says All Programs. Click or point the cursor only.

3. From the list of folders, keep on scrolling down till you find the Samsung Kies folder and click it then click the "Launcher" to launch the program.

Launch using Command Prompt

You can also launch a program on your computer by simply using the command prompt. Just open the command prompt and once you have it open, type the direct command of "start" then put a space "Kies.exe". Give it a few seconds and then it will run on your computer.

Transferring Samsung Galaxy 2 on to PC?

I am trying to transfer my data from my Samsung (which is not working) to my PC. I have installed the Kies website, and have done what they have suggested, and have tried to connect the phone using the USB but it will not connect. Please tell me how can I get my data over!!!!!

You have to keep on trying the USB option, as that is the easiest method. Consider that your Samsung device is not working anymore. However, if it's your first time actually connecting your Samsung to your computer, it may not work because you have to authorize your computer to access your device from your device. If your Samsung won't even turn on, you won't be able to do this.
