Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to tilt maps in the Google Maps application on an HTC One M8.

Steps

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone
    .
    Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards
    .
    Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen and at the bottom we'll see some icons. It is in this area we need to focus now because we need an icon located at the bottom of the home screen.

    Press down on the icon in the middle to open up the Applications folder

    We now need to find the "Maps" application, and it is located here at the top of the screen

    We can see that there is an icon of a map. Inside there is a red pin and underneath it says the word "Maps". Press down on this icon and it will open up our Maps application. In this video, we want to learn how we can tilt the map. It's quite a simple process.

    What we can do is take our two fingers and try and place them in a horizontal line, not vertical or diagonal

    Try and place them on an equal height. Press down on the screen and then swipe up. Now we can see that the map has tilted.

    If we press down on the screen again with two fingers and swipe down, we can see that it is back to the bird's eye view
    .
    We can see this more if we zoom in. We can see it's more distinct in this way and we can see the buildings.

    We will press down on the screen with two fingers and swipe up again
    .
    Now we can see how tilted the screen is. We've tilted the map, and now we can see the buildings in 3-D. We can see them more on a side perspective. This can be very useful if we're looking to see what kind of buildings there are. If we want to see if they're high rise or what kind of area it is. It's very useful to be able to see this in 3-D.

    Press down on the screen with two fingers and swipe down, if we want to tilt the screen back to its usual position
