You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to take a photo from the lock screen of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
In order to take a photo from the lock screen, the phone must be locked. If the phone is unlocked, then this can be done by pressing the lock-screen button or waiting for the phone to time out. Once the phone is locked, there are two ways to take a photo.
The quickest and easiest is simply to double-press the home button quickly. This will automatically launch Camera and allow us to take a photo by pressing the photo button.
We lock the phone again or let it time out. There is another way to accomplish this task of taking a photo.
Then, we press the lock button to unlock the phone.
We simply tap and hold the camera icon at the bottom-right side of the screen. We drag the icon across to open Camera.
Once in Camera, we may also take photos by tapping the camera icon.
When we've finished, we can press the home button. We will be taken back to the lock screen.
Alternatively, we can simply lock the phone.
