Take a Photo Using Instagram with Microsoft Lumia 535

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to take a photo using the Instagram application when using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps
- 1To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right hand side of the phone.
- 2Swipe the lock screen up and this will take you to the home screen.Once the phone has been activated, you will see the lock screen.
- 3Mine is located at the bottom left. It has a navy blue background and a white outline of the Instagram logo which is a camera in the middle. If you do not have the Instagram tile pinned to your home screen, then swipe left and find it in the applications menu. Once you have located the Instagram tile, press down on it so that we can enter the application.On the home screen, we need to find the Instagram tile.
- 4To do that, we have to press the button located at the bottom-center of the screen. The button has a white outline of a camera.What we are going to do now is show you how to take a photo.
- 5That is going to take us to our photo albums that we have on our Microsoft Lumia 535.
- 6Press down on that and that is going to open up the Microsoft Lumia camera function.If you want to take a photo directly, press the icon with a white circle and a white camera inside the circle.
- 7Our photo is not going to be the most exciting photo ever. We are going to use the box for Microsoft Lumia 535 since we cannot move the camera around too much.Now we want to take a photo.
- 8The icon is a white camera inside a white circle.We are going to take a photo of this box; to do that, press the camera icon.
- 9I am very happy with it, and I think it is a masterpiece. I am going to accept it by pressing the word "accept" in the box in the bottom left corner of the screen.If we are happy with the photo, we have the option to accept it or retake it.
- 10There is a grid with two vertical and two horizontal lines on your image. This is a rule of thirds framing grid. It splits into nine sections that are all the same size. The rule of thirds is used to help frame a photo; the lines help frame points of interest.Next options we have are to scale and crop the photo.
- 11Frame the image in a way that you would like. My image is not the biggest, therefore we do not have a lot of room to work with but we just want to frame it so that the colorful beach huts are visible.We can move the image around by pressing and holding down on the screen.
- 12It is a white check mark in a white circle. Press that to move to the next section.Try to frame these in a good way and when you are happy, press the checkmark icon at the bottom.
- 13You can edit it by changing one of the filters at the bottom. Scroll left/right and choose a filter. For example, this filter adds a faded effect.In the next section, we have the option to edit the photo.
- 14We have the option to rotate in the top left corner. There is an icon of what looks like a circle with an arrow at the end to rotate it.At the top, we have some more editing options.
- 15When it is blue, it is activated, and when it is white, it is deactivated.The water drop icon is to add more clarity; emphasize and enhance more colors.
- 16The sun icon is to add or reduce brightness.
- 17We are happy with all of these options, so we are going to press the white check mark in the white circle to confirm the settings.
- 18Now the photo has been inserted in the box on the left.
- 19Press down on it to write a caption. If you want to remove the keypad, press any spot without another option.We have the option to write a caption in this gray text box.
- 20We can also tag people, press down on "Tag People" to tag people.
- 21If you want to add this image to your photo map, press "Add to Photo Map", swipe the switch across.
- 22"A FUN NEW WAY OF BROWSING PHOTOS ON A MAP. Be mindful of which photos you add to your map. Their location will be visible to everyone who visits your map. You can remove photos from your map at any time". Press "OK".Here is some more information about it.
- 23Type in a location into the text box. For example: "Hunstanton" which is a beachside resort. Press "Find "Hunstanton"" to search.Now, we are going to add a location.
- 24Let us go back and we will leave that option empty for now. The other option we have is to share it via Facebook, Twitter or Tumbler and we can do that by pressing down on any of the icons. If we have synced those accounts with the phone, we can share this image across multiple social media platforms."No Results" unfortunately.
- 25Once we are satisfied with the photo, we can press the blue check mark in the blue circle to upload the photo.
- 26It is showing the upload progress at the top.
- 27A new screen will pop up showing your newly uploaded photo.
