You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to use the volume keys to take photos with the camera on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
In order to use the volume key functions to take photos, we make sure that our phone is unlocked. We should be on the home screen.
Once we've unlocked the phone, we double-press the home button to open Camera.
Alternatively, we tap the Camera icon one time.
Once we tap the Camera icon, Camera will be launched.
From Camera, look at the upper-left side and tap once on the gear-shaped settings icon. This will allow us to access the "Camera settings" menu.
From "Camera settings", we scroll down until we see the "Volume key function" option.
We tap one time on "Volume key function". We will have the options to set the volume keys function to "Take pictures", "Record video" or "Zoom".
We set the option to "Take pictures" by tapping it. Let's test the option.
We tap the back arrow near "Camera settings".
What we'll do is we will place an object behind the camera.
Then, we will use the volume button to take a photo. Either volume button, up or down, will let us take photos.
Once we're satisfied with the photos, we can press the home button. We'll go back to the home screen.
This concludes our tutorial on how to use the volume buttons to take photos on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Thank you for choosing VisiHow! Have a great day!
