Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how you can take a photo using the Lumia Selfie application on a Microsoft Lumia 535.

Steps
- 1To get started, I'll turn on the phone by pressing the power button on the right-hand side of the phone.
- 2Swipe the lock screen up, and this will take us to the home screen.Once the phone is activated, you'll see the lock screen.
- 3Mine is located here on the lower left-hand corner of my home screen. It is the purple tile with a white frame and a white outline of a lady with some kind of paintbrush.Now we need to press the Lumia Selfie tile.
- 4Wherever it may be, press the Lumia Selfie Tile to enter the application.If you do not have this Tile pinned to your home screen, then swipe left and find it in the app menu.
- 5There is a camera at the back, but obviously if you want to take a selfie, you want to look into the screen so that you can take your selfie.You'll see now the camera we're using located at the front of the phone.
- 6To do this, we can just press the button located at the bottom center of the screen.
- 7The camera at the back is better, and it has different options. You can see now, up at the top left-hand side, there is an icon of a lightning bolt. It is very faint because we cannot use it right now.We can also turn the camera around and use the camera at the back.
- 8If you press the icon that looks like a white circle with the black form of a person inside it, that will switch to use the camera at the back of the phone.
- 9You can see now I am using the camera at the back of the phone.
- 10It is facing the wall.
- 11I want to take a proper selfie. With this setting you can see I can now use the flash setting.I don't want to do that right now.
- 12I want to go back to using the front camera, so I will press the icon at the top that looks like a camera inside a circle with a person next to it.
- 13I am going to take a photo, so I am simply going to press the photo icon at the bottom in the middle that is the camera inside the white circle.Now it is back to the original position.
- 14I will take a photo of my hand.
- 15I have taken a hand selfie. It's going to be a new selfie. It will be all the craze, so you will want to get on board with that now.Now you can see my fingers.
- 16It is the flip button. If I press that button it will flip the image.You will see a button in the bottom center of the camera.
- 17You can see that it's flipped the image around.
- 18Press the same button again to go back to the original image.
- 19The option beside it, which is the white circle with dots inside forming a square, will form a square around the image
- 20If you press that button again it will create a landscape or rectangular frame.
- 21If you press it again, it will create the portrait frame.
- 22When you're satisfied with your image, you can press the icon with the white check mark at the bottom of the screen.You have different options on how you want to frame your photo.
- 23It's going to add some effects You will notice it says "No face detected, could not enhance." If there is a face, you can use this enhance icon at the bottom of the screen on the left-hand side. If you have a face on your selfie, as most people normally do, you will be able to press that icon. That will help to clean up and enhance the faces.Once pressed, and that will take you to the next option.

Some phones like Lumia 520, 521, 525, 526, or 530 do not have a frontal camera (the one above the touch screen). You will have to turn it around to use the rear camera to take self-portrait pictures.
