Take Photos with Live View on T4i

You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show how to shoot pictures using the Live View option on the LCD screen, so that you can see the picture on the screen when you're shooting. For this tutorial, we are using the Canon 650D, or T4i, camera.

Steps

    First, press the menu button

    Use left and right arrows to move to the fourth menu option from the left

    Then, make sure "Live View shoot." is enabled by pressing "SET" if it is not enabled

    Press the menu button again

    Press the Live View shooting button at the top of the camera
    .
    This will enable the Live View shooting mode. The advantage of using this mode is that you don't have to look through the view finder to see the area that you photograph.

    You can pull the LCD screen out and turn it downwards to shoot over your head

    You can also turn it up to take pictures while looking down from above at the camera

    Once you've enabled the Live View shooting mode, half-press the shutter-release button to focus on an object

    Full-press the shutter-release button to take a picture

    Two disadvantages of the Live View shooting mode are that there is a small delay when you take the picture and that this mode also uses more battery charge.
