You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to switch keyboards on the iPad Air 2. In order to change one keyboard type to another on the iPad, you'll need to be in application that allows you to type. This can be any sort of application, such as Notes, Reminders, Calendar, and even the search option in "Settings". It doesn't matter what the application is. All that matters is that you should be able to type.

    Let's tap on Messages

    This is where some people type the most. You will have a message already started.

    In order to open the keyboard, tap on the "Message" field

    Tap on the globe sign to switch the keyboard

    Release the finger to select the keyboard

    In this case, "English (US)" has been selected. This is particularly helpful if you have a number of keyboards on your iPad.
