Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how you can switch between searching on Google.com or the local Google domain on an HTC One M8.

Steps

    To begin, turn on the phone by pressing the Power button located on top of the phone
    .
    Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

    To unlock the phone, press down on the screen in the middle and hold down, then swipe up

    Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen. At the bottom, we will see these icons here. We need one of these icons.

    It looks like an icon of the planet Earth. This is our internet icon. Press down on it and this will open up the internet application. It will bring us to the Google home page.

    We are now going to change the domain
    .
    It says "Google.ge is offered in:" the local language. This shows that we are currently using the local Google domain. We are going to learn how we can change that. If we're an English-speaking person, or if we're wanting to search in English, then this is a very useful function. It allows us to search using Google.com, which is a lot easier for English speaking people and people wanting to search for things in English.

    If we scroll right down to the bottom, we'll see that there is a gray bar here with an option that says, "Use Google.com"

    Just press down on it and it will automatically change our web page to Google.com. Now we're ready to search in English.

    If we want to change this back to the local Google domain, we scroll down again to the gray bar
    .
    In the same place as before, it will now say "Use Google.ge", or "Use Google.(the address of the region we're currently in)".

    Press down then on that option to change back to the local Google domain
