Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to store data online using OneDrive on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps
1
To begin, we're going to turn the phone on using the button on the right hand side of the phone
.
2
Now, we have the lock screen
.
We swipe up, which takes us to the Home screen.
3
From here, if we swipe to the left, we're going to be taken to another set of options
.
4
Scroll up and down until you find OneDrive
.
Its icon is a cloud on a blue square. Press this to open OneDrive.
5
Now, we have a section at the top beginning with files, followed by recent and shared
.
6
What we want to do is we want to store our data online, so if something happens to it, and something happens to our phone, we can still retrieve our pictures and still have our pictures, and they'll be protected online
.
So what we want to do is press the Pictures folder, which should be a blue square underneath files.
7
Next, click on the blue square under pictures, which should be the Camera Roll
.
8
Now, we want to put a photo into the Camera Roll, so press the + sign in the circle on the bottom left of the screen
.
9
This brings up all the photos currently in our gallery or photo album on the phone
.
10
Choose a picture and tap on it
.
The file will begin to upload. You might see a message that reads, "The folder can't be displayed. Make sure you're connected to a WiFi or cellular network and try again." You can see that the file is uploading at the top of your screen. When it is finished, it will say 1 file has been added at the top. So it may be taking some time to load. This is probably because of a very suspect internet connection.
11
Now, you can see the picture in Camera Roll
.
If you press on the picture, you can see it has been uploaded.
12
Whatever happens to this phone you will always have that picture you saved.
13
From the picture's screen, you will see an ellipsis on the bottom right-hand side of the phone
.
This is three dots in a line.
14
If we press this, it brings up a menu from the bottom
.
Here we have the option to download the photo. If we're looking at OneDrive, we can download the photo to the phone. We can also share the photo. We can delete it, or we can open it with another program. If we have another app to edit photos or to do something interesting with photos, we can open it with another application.
15
And we're going to go back for now by pressing the arrow at the bottom left corner of the screen
.
16
There's also some other options here
.
This option, if you press the button here, the three tics, it will select everything.
17
There is also the option to delete the whole file with the recycling bin icon, the first one from the left side
.
18
There's always a possibility, with the pencil icon on the far right, to rename the photo
.
When you tap on that, a keyboard will pop up, and you can rename the file.
19
There is also the option to add it or move it to a new file by clicking on the second icon from the left
.
You can do this if you want to reorganize your photos.
20
So we can move backwards
.
There is also the option to invite people or to view people who you have shared this photo with. It is the third icon on the Camera Roll screen.
21
On the Sharing Screen, if you press invite people, you could choose a contact or enter an email address
.
22
Then we can select how much control they have
.
Do they need to sign in to access it? Can they edit the photo?
23
So the OneDrive creates an online environment where you can share and store your data, and other people can access it if you give the permission
.
Click on the check mark at the bottom if you made any changes under Sharing or the X if you did not change anything to go back to the Camera Roll.
24
Another interesting and necessary function is found at the far right of the Camera Roll screen, the three dots or ellipsis again
.
25
If you press that it brings up a new menu
.
That menu consists of search, create a new folder, so you can have multiple folders for different subjects and topics, rename, refresh, and settings.
26
If you press settings that's going to take us to a general settings menu
.
27
In the blank under photo download size, you can keep original or change it to resized
.
28
From this same screen, if you swipe to the left at the top you will see it says account
.
This is where it will show how much storage room or gigabytes are available in OneDrive.
29
Swipe left again to switch to about
.
This gives us a little more information about it, privacy, cookies, terms, help, third party notices if you require some more information on this application.
30
As you can see if we go back to files screen, you have the ability to add photos
.
You can also add videos to OneDrive, and here you have the option to share them with other people now that they are safely stored online.
31
This concludes our tutorial on how to store data online using the OneDrive on a Microsoft Lumia 535

How to sign out the account in OneDrive?
I have changed my Microsoft account. But how can I remove my old account from one drive app in the Lumia 535?. I have tried: I have checked all the things, but got nothing.
Your active Microsoft account is tied to OneDrive, which means that you will need to use another Microsoft account.
- If you want to close the OneDrive account completely, then open a browser and go to https://www.overdrive.com/account/close-account to start the process of closing your OneDrive account. Warning: this is irreversible, and you will not be able to use this account anymore.
- You can also close your old Microsoft account by going to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=523898. Warning: this is irreversible, and you will not be able to use this account anymore.
- To switch to your new Microsoft account: Hard-reset the Lumia 535 phone and set up your new Microsoft account. Warning: all of the data will be erased from the phone. The SD card will be left intact.
