Hi! You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to disable background applications on Windows 10 computers.
Steps
1
The first thing that we need to do is move the mouse cursor to the lower-left corner of the screen and click there
.
2
Now, we need to click "Settings"
.
3
When "Settings" opens, we need to click "System"
.
4
In the left part of the screen, we need to click "Battery Saver"
.
5
In the right part of the window, we need to click "Battery Use"
.
We wait for "BATTERY USE" to load.
6
We need to click "Change background app settings"
.
Now, we will have a list of all of the applications that are running in the background. For example, Get Office, People, and Phone Companion are turned off. That means that they won't be running in the background.
7
If we turn anything else off, we click the "On" toggle
.
For example, in this video, we can click the toggle for Alarms & Clocks, Calendar, and so on. If we do, they won't be running in the background. Let's go ahead and click the "On" toggle for Xbox, for example.
8
If you want to turn something on, you need to click the "Off" toggle to set it to "On"
.
9
We set these settings according to our preference and close this window
.
This concludes our tutorial on how to disable background apps on Windows 10 computers. Thank you for watching VisiHow! If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comments section below.
