Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to stop all interruptions and notifications on an HTC One M8.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on top of the phone
.
2
Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the Lock screen
.
3
To unlock the phone, press down on the screen, hold down until the lock/unlock icon appears, then swipe up
.
4
Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the Home screen, with more icons at the bottom
.
5
Next, we will find the Settings menu, and we can do that by swiping the Notification panel down
.
Press down at the top of the screen until a small gray area appears, then swipe down.
6
We can see that the Notification panel has appeared
.
7
We want the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen, which is a white cog icon
.
This is the Settings icon.
8
Press down on that icon, and this will open up the Settings menu
.
We can see it says the word "Settings" at the top.
9
We want to scroll down all the way to the "PHONE" section
.
The word "PHONE" will be in a gray bar.
10
In this section, we're looking for "Sound & notification", which has an icon that looks like a speaker emitting some sound waves
.
11
Press down on the icon, and it will take us into the "Sound & notification" menu
.
12
In the first section, it says "GENERAL" in the gray bar
.
13
We want the "Interruptions" option, which is toward the bottom
.
14
When we select this option, it will take us into the "Interruptions" area
.
15
We've taken the long way to do this, so next we'll see how we can stop all interruptions and notifications the easy way
.
For now, we can see at the top it says, "When calls and notifications arrive", and it currently says "Always interrupt".
16
Pressing down on this will bring up more options, including "Don't interrupt", which will turn off everything
.
All interruptions and notifications will be stopped from disturbing us. Press down on the words "Don't interrupt", which is the bottom option.
17
The menu for "Don't interrupt" will display, where we can select a period of time period for this option to be active
.
18
We're going to select "Indefinitely", but to choose a different time frame, we can just press down on one of the other options
.
For example, if we want 2 hours, we'll press down that option, and the green circle will appear to the right. That means it has been selected.
19
Press down anywhere on the "Indefinitely" line and the green circle will appear to the right
.
20
After making a selection, press the "OK" button, at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen
.
21
Now, it says "Don't interrupt"
.
As mentioned before, this is the longer way to set this up. Let's do it the quick way now.
22
First, press the Volume button on the right-hand side of the phone
.
23
We're given three options, but the display box will disappear very quickly
.
Therefore, we will need to press the Volume button again. When we get the display back on our screen, we'll see the word "NONE" highlighted in green. This means that nothing is allowed to enter or disturb us.
24
When we can press down on the word "NONE", we will see the words "No interruptions
.
Not even alarms", displayed in red. This is the same option we just previously set up, which is turning everything off so nothing or disturb or interrupt us, as it says "Don't interrupt" at the top of the screen.
25
There are just two different ways of finding it. We can either find it through the Settings menu, or we can press down on the Volume button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
26
This concludes our tutorial on how to stop all interruptions and notifications on an HTC One M8
.
