Welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to start a new project in Corel VideoStudio Pro X8. If you're not familiar with the program, it is a video editing software suite, and it is excellent and very user-friendly to get started with editing videos.

   The first thing we're going to do is open up Corel VideoStudio Pro X8

   If you haven't used the program and you want to get it, simply visit this link: http://www.videostudiopro.com/en/products/videostudio/pro/. There is actually an option to download a trial version that has many of the features. There are some things that are not available when using the trial, but it does give us a good idea of how the program functions when we use it. Once we have finished the trial, we can choose to download the full version from the website. Once we've installed it, we need to open it up and wait for it to load.

   Once it's loaded, we will see the screen as shown in the photo below

   We can change the layout of the screen by going to the settings option, but this is a pretty user-friendly way to use it. The first thing we should do is set up a new project and name it right away to save as we go along.

   We're going to click on "File", then click on "Save As"

   We don't need to select a new project because the program created a new project when we opened it.
