Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to star and unstar and email in Gmail to an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up

   Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.

   We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen

   There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.

   Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap the Gmail application

   .

   There is a Gmail icon, which is an envelope with a red 'M', and underneath it says the word "Gmail". Your application may be in a different location, so look for the icon in your folder. We want to demonstrate how to star and unstar an email. The reason for this is because when we 'star' an email, it will send it to a specific label or folder. This means that we will be able to group important emails in this specific folder.

   To star or unstar an email, we need to tap on the star to the right of every email

   A starred email has a yellow star, so we would press down on it until it's empty to unstar it. Press down again to star it. We will star the first two emails.
