Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to sign up to Facebook, on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button one time
.
This button is located on top of the phone. Once the phone has been activated, we will see the Lock screen.

To unlock the phone, we need to press down on the screen and swipe upwards
.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the Home screen. At the bottom, there will be a row of five various icons. It is one of these icons that we now need to access, as we need to open up the Applications folder.

We are now going to tap the bottom center icon one time, this will open up the Applications folder for us
.
This icon features a grid, made up of white dots. We now need to locate the Facebook application, which will have come pre-installed with our HTC One M8. This icon features a blue box, with a white letter "f" placed in the center. Underneath, this icon will be labeled "Facebook".

Once we have located the Facebook application icon, we are going to tap it one time
.
Once the application has loaded up, we need to find the "Sign up for Facebook" option. This option is written in white, located near the bottom of the screen.

We are now going to tap "Sign up for Facebook" one time
.
This will open up a new page labeled "Join Facebook". This page is simply giving us basic information about what we need to agree to in order to sign up for Facebook.

To continue, we are going to tap "Next" one time
.
This option is written in blue, inside of a white box. This box will be located in the bottom section of the screen. The application will now as us to enter in our phone number. This page will be labeled "Enter Your Mobile Number" at the top. Facebook will use this number when we log in, as well as if we ever need to reset our password.

We are now going to tap on the "Mobile Number", then proceed to enter in our phone number

Once we have entered in our phone number, we are going to press down on "Next"
.
This option is written inside of a white box, located underneath of the Mobile Number text box. We will then be taken to a new page, labeled "What's Your Name?". We are told that using our real name makes it easier for friends to recognize us.

We are now going to tap the "Last Name" text box, then proceed to enter in our last name

Then we are going to tap the text box located the left of our last name, then proceed to enter in our first name
.
In our case, this text box will read "TomTomth". If there is any text previously written in this box, we will have to delete it before entering in our name.

When we are done entering in our name, we are going to press down on "Next" one time
.
This option is written inside of a white box, located underneath of our fist and last name. Now we will be taken to another page, labeled "What's Your Birthday?". Later on, we can decide to hide our birthday from our profile.

We are now going to tap the "Select Birthday" option
.
This option is located near the center of the screen, directly above the "Next" option. This will open an option box for us, where we will scroll through to select our birth date.

Once our date of birth has been selected, we are going to tap on "OK"

This option is located in the bottom, right-hand corner of the birthday selection box.

We are now going to press down on "Next"

This option is written in blue, placed inside of a white box. We will then be taken to a new screen, labeled "What's Your Gender".

We will now press down on our gender's option, placing a blue circle to the right of it

Then we are going to press down on "Next"
.
This option will be written in blue, placed inside of a white box. Now we are going to be taken to another page, labeled "Create a Password". We will need to enter in a combination of at least six numbers, letters, and punctuation marks.

We are now going to tap the "Password" text box, then proceed to enter in our password

When are done, we are going to press down on the "Next" option one time
.
This option is written in blue, placed inside of a white box. Once this option is pressed, we will be taken to a loading screen with the words "Creating your account..." in the center. Once the screen is finished loading, we will have the option to add a profile photo.

For now, we are going to skip choosing a profile photo by pressing "Skip" in the top, right-hand corner of the screen

We will then be taken to another page, labeled "Facebook is Better With Friends".

We are now going to tap "Skip" another time, located in the top, right-hand corner of the screen

This will open up a dialog box, where we will one again tap "SKIP"
.
This option is located in the right-hand corner, to the left of the option labeled "FIND FRIENDS". This will then load our Facebook feed, confirming we have successfully created our Facebook account.
