You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to sign up for an Elder Scrolls Online membership and get 1,500 free Crowns every month.
Steps
- 1This can be done on a Mac by moving the mouse cursor to the dock and then clicking on a web browser. We are going to use Google Chrome, but any other browser can be used.To get started, we need to go to our account page.
- 2The page is at https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/users/account.Single-click on Google Chrome will take us to the account page.
- 3We can click it in two places. One on the right, and the other on the left.On the account page, we'll select "MANAGE MEMBERSHIP".
- 4If we have not signed in yet, we have VisiHow tutorial on how to sign in.
- 5If we do not have an account set up, then refer to the VisiHow tutorial on how to do that.
- 6We click on "STORE". This is going to take us to the "Store" page. The reason we go to the "Store" page first is that we need to know how it works too.We can also click on the "STORE" option.
- 7We scroll down a bit.
- 8There is a VisiHow tutorial on the cost of the game, and how we can save the money on purchase.
- 9In this video, we have 1,250 Crowns on our account. Crowns are a special in-game currency that can be used to buy things like horses or special mounts or special hats. Those are mostly cosmetic. Anything we buy can be also earned by playing the game. If we don't have patience and time, and we want to start early with a horse, then this is the way to get one. The important thing is 1,500 Crowns are going to cost us $14.99 (if we are in the US). We do have ways when we can get those for less.We are looking at Crowns now.
- 10Let's click "MORE INFO" for "ESO Plus Membership" for more information. Once a window opens up, we'll see that "ESO Plus Membership" gives us access to all download game packs as long as the ESO Plus membership is current and 1,500 Crowns every 30 days' worth of membership. We get the Crowns when we make the payment. So, for example, if we make a long-term payment, we get all of the Crowns at once. There are some additional requirements, but those are not much.However, the "ESO Plus Membership" is really the best way to get Crowns.
- 11We scroll down a bit.
- 12We need the Internet connection, obviously, acceptance of the Terms of Agreement, etc. There are no refunds. Everyone familiar with online games already knows this.We click "ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS".
- 13This will take us back to our account page. We will be in the purchase window. There is a bonus to our characters, access to all of the downloadable content, and in-game Crowns.Let's click on "BUY NOW".
- 14There are 30-, 90-, and 180-day membership options. In the US, they cost $14.99, $41.97, and $77.94 respectively. For the video purposes, we are going to select $14.99, as we don't want to break the bank.What we do is we select the membership.
- 15We click on "CONTINUE".
- 16As we can see, some of the details in the video have been entered already.At the next stage, we will be asked to enter our billing address.
- 17We scroll down.
- 18We click on "CONTINUE".
- 19Unfortunately, we don't have any coupon codes in this video.Once we've clicked on "CONTINUE", we can apply our "COUPON CODE" if we have it.
- 20We will see at the bottom that we selected the membership that will bill us every 30 days, according to the plan, and that this is a recurring payment. If we do not want a recurring payment, we will have to cancel it.Since we don't have any promotional codes, we are just going to scroll down and confirm our information.
- 21In this video, we click on the PayPal icon.We select the payment option.
- 22If we need to change something, we click on "I NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE".
- 23We are going to be taken to another page.We click "CONFIRM AND PROCEED TO CHECKOUT" if we don't need to make any changes.
- 24We will see the "Zenimax Online Studios" icon. In this video, it is not showing up. Now, we are going to confirm that our information is accurate and click on "Log In". Once we've logged in, we'll be given the option to pay. As it is a pre-approved Paypal payment, our address does not show up.On the next page, we will be given the option to pay from our PayPal account.
- 25We'll be taken back to the Elder Scrolls Online store. We will see that our purchase is completed. We are consenting that the content will begin immediately. We cannot withdraw it.Let's go ahead and click on the golden "Agree and Pay" button.
- 26For those of you considering doing this, we recommend that you download the game first.Now, we have not downloaded the game yet, so we are probably losing a day or two of this membership.
- 27We will see the date when we will be charged again. It is August 17th in this video. We have 2750 Crowns on our account, which is more than enough money to buy a horse. This is the first thing we are going to do in the tutorial where we start playing the game.Let's click on "GO TO MY ACCOUNT".
