To get started, we are going to need to open the iTunes application
.
We can open iTunes by locating the red circle with a white ring around it, featuring a white music note inside of it. It will be labeled with the word "iTunes".

Once the icon is located, double click it to open the iTunes application

To check if we are signed in or not, click on the Profile icon

This icon features the silhouette of a man in black, with a black ring around it. It is located to the left of the "Search" bar, on the upper right-hand side of the screen. This will open up our account.

We can see that we are currently signed in

In theory, we should be able to close iTunes and automatically be logged out.

To test this theory we will go to the upper right-hand corner, and click on the white 'X' inside of a red box

Reopen the iTunes application by double clicking on its icon once again

This will open the application from a closed state
.
We will note that our songs from the Cloud took a moment to refresh and synchronize with the Cloud, confirming iTunes was opened from a closed state. This also confirms that we are still signed into the iTunes store.

One click of our Profile icon will show us we are still logged in

As mentioned previously, this icon is symbolized by a black silhouette inside of a black ring. Located in the upper, right-hand corner.

Click on the word "Sign Out", listed last on the menu, to Sign Out if iTunes

This will close all of our iCloud information and sign us out of the application.

By clicking on the Profile icon once again, we will see that a Login box has popped up

Our information will not be present.

We will now close our iTunes

We can do this by pressing the red box, featuring a white 'X' inside. Located in the upper, right-hand corner of the application.
