Go to the Control Panel

To go to the Control Panel, press the Start Menu button on the lower left corner of the screen, and then choose Control Panel. After you've clicked it once, the window will open.

Click on Appearance and Personalization

Click on Change Desktop Icons on the left side of the screen

A new window will open. In the new window, there will be a list of several icons that are available for your desktop. As you may notice in this example, Recycle Bin is not checked which means there is no Recycle Bin icon on the desktop.

Just checkmark it and press OK
