Hello and welcome to VisiHow, in this video we are going to show you how to put the battery level in the Status Bar of the HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the 'Power Button' located right on top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone is activated the lock screen can be seen. To unlock the phone press down on the screen, hold down and swipe up.

   Once the phone is unlocked, we need to enter the 'Settings menu'

   To do that we are going to swipe down from top to bottom, bringing up our notification panel.

   We now need to press the 'Settings' icon, a white cog in the top right-hand corner

   This opens up our 'Settings menu'.

   Scroll all the way down to find the word 'Power', this has a battery symbol with a lightning strike inside

   Press down on the word "Power".

   This is where the Power options are shown

   At the top of the screen is a 'Battery' icon, as the battery charges it will start filling up.

   What we want to show in this tutorial is how to put the actual battery percentage level next to this icon

   .

   At the moment it just shows the 'Battery', but if you want to put the percentage next to the 'Battery' then we can add that by pressing the box next to "Show Battery Level'. This will put a tick in the box with a green background.

   Now let's look at the top of the screen again, see the 'Battery' icon and next to the icon it has the percentage in numbers of the current battery level of this HTC One M8

   To remove this if needed, press down on the 'Show Battery Level' box again

   The tick and the numerical percentage will be removed.
