Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to share a location in the Google Maps application on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

Swipe the screen upwards to unlock the phone
.
Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen. At the bottom, we will see icons.

Press the icon that looks like a grid of white dots
.
It is located in the center of the row of icons at the bottom of the home screen. Pressing this icon will open up the applications folder.

Find the Maps application
.
It is located in the top row. The icon looks like a map with a red pin inside. Underneath, it says the word "Maps". Press this icon and it will open up our Maps application.

Place a pin on the map
.
We can do this anywhere in the entire world, anywhere, on any map that we find in the Google Maps application. We are going to choose a location, press down on the screen, and hold down until we can see that a red pin has been dropped.

At the bottom, it will show the address of the location in a white bar
.
Press down on this bar and swipe upwards. This pulls an information bar up.

We have two options
:
"SAVE" and "SHARE". Press down on the word "SHARE".

A menu appears with all of the different ways that we can share this location

We can share this location via messages, Bluetooth, Twitter, Facebook, mail, Gmail and Viber. If you have other applications, such as WhatsApp, or any other chat or email applications, you will be able to use them as well and will see them here.

Let's choose "Messages"
.
This option is located on the top left-hand corner of the screen. All options will have the same basic processes. They will ask us to send the location. Press down on the "Messages" icon.

Check the details
.
We should see the address of the location, and a link to the image from the Google Map as well, which will show the map with the pin in it.

Add a contact
.
Press down on the icon shaped like an outline of a person's head and shoulders. This will bring up contacts so we can select one.

Press the box next to the contact who will be the recipient
.
A checkmark will appear in the box. We can select multiple contacts as well if we desire.

Press on the word "DONE (1)"
.
This icon is located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. The bracketed number indicates the number of contacts we selected.

Write a message

Send the location by pressing the "SEND" icon

It is located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and has a message icon. We have successfully shared our location from the Google Maps application.
