Share Calendar Events by SMS from HTC One M8

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to share an event from the Calendar application via SMS message on an HTC One M8.
Steps
- 1Press the power button located on the top of the phone. Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.Turn the phone on.
- 2Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen. At the bottom, we will see icons.Swipe upwards to unlock the phone.
- 3This is the icon for our applications folder. Press down on it, and the folder will open.Locate the grid of white dots in the bottom center of the screen.
- 4It is located in the top row of icons, and it looks like a calendar. Underneath, we can see the word "Calendar".Press the "Calendar" icon.
- 5In order to share an event from the Calendar application via SMS message, we first need to have created an event or to create a new event. We have created one. The details are located at the bottom of the screen and reflect that there is an event happening on the day highlighted by a blue square. For our illustration, it is the 19th of June. We will use this event.Choose or create an event.
- 6We could also create a new one by pressing the white plus sign icon at the top of the screen.
- 7This opens the "Event details" menu, which shows more event details and information about the event. We want to be in this menu, we don't want to be editing the event itself.Press on the event details at the bottom of the screen.
- 8It looks like three small white squares in a vertical line. Pressing this icon opens a drop-down menu.Press the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- 9This opens the "Share via" menu, which provides options to share this event.Choose the option in the middle labeled "Share via".
- 10Press down on the "Messages" section. The icon looks like a message bubble or message box.We will choose to share this event via Messages, which uses SMS.
- 11There is an "Add text" field at the bottom of the screen. The message contains the calendar and event information already.We have the option to add text.
- 12Either type in the name of the contact or press down on the contact icon located near the top right-hand corner of the screen. It is shaped like the outline of a person's head and shoulders. Pressing this icon opens the contact list on the HTC One M8.We need to choose contacts.
- 13Press on the contact and a check will appear in the box next to the contact.Choose the contact who will be the recipient.
- 14The bracketed number indicates the number of contacts chosen. We could select multiple contacts. Now the contact has been added to the message.Press "DONE (1)" at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- 15Calendar is at the bottom and the contact has been added.Check over the message.
- 16Find the "SEND" icon located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Press the icon to send the message to the contact and share the event that we created in the Calendar application.Send.
