This is a tutorial on how to set up a new iPhone after updating to a new version of iOS. Any time you have updated an iPhone, you will be asked to perform some additional operations or functions to set up the phone. We will guide you through the basic steps, and are here to answer any questions you may have. Just let us know in the section below this article.

Once the update process has completed, you will be need to set up your phone. The following steps will show you how.

   Press the home button

   You will see a screen indicating 'hello'. It will also read 'slide to set up' at the bottom.

   These messages will cycle from English to other languages as time passes.

   Simply slide to begin the process of setting up your iPhone

   Note that it does not matter what language the text is in. The slide function will set up the phone in whichever regional language it is in. The functionality is independent of the language. Once you have slid you will see text indicating that your recent update has completed.

   Now you will be asked to select a WiFi network

   If you already have WiFi setup from your previous connection, you can also on next after tapping next. Otherwise you will need to select your WiFi connection and enter the password.

   You will be given the option to set up touch ID

   You may elect to set up touch ID later, or set it up now. We recommend setting it up now to make sure your phone is secure.

   To set up touch ID, simply start by placing your thumb or your other finger on the home button.

   You'll need to continue placing your finger on the home button until the phone has identified the entire center of your fingerprint.

   When the phone has identified the center of your fingerprint, you'll be asked to continue touching by using your finger a little differently so that the phone can identify the edges of your fingerprint.

    Make sure you lift your finger as it is scanned

    Don't take too long but also don't lift your finger too quickly.

    When done, you'll receive a notice that the fingerprint scan is complete.

    Tap 'Continue', and you will be asked to enter a passcode
