   To get started, give a single press to the Home button located at the bottom center of the phone

   Now, we can now swipe across the screen to access the Passcode section, and enter a passcode

   Alternatively, we can press and hold a finger on the Home button to access the phone via Touch ID

   Now, we are looking for the Shazam icon

   The Shazam icon is a blue box with a cloudy background. There will be two "You" connected to form an "S" in white inside of this box.

   Let's give the Shazam icon a single press

   This will open up Shazam.

   The first thing we are going to need to do is allow a Microphone check on Shazam

   This is an essential part of the application, so let's tap on "OK".

   Now, we will be told that ""Shazam" Would Like to Access the Microphone"

   .

   We can select "Don't Allow" or "OK". Shazam needs the microphone to be able to recognize music, television shows, or other audio around us, so let's tap on "OK".

   Now, when we are ready to use Shazam we just give the Shazam icon a single tap

   The icon will have the words "Touch to Shazam" underneath of it. We can see there is also on an update at the top on how to use Shazam with a barcode or QR code scanner. However, that is not the focus of this tutorial.

   Before we can "Touch to Shazam", as it says on the screen, we need some music for it to recognize

   For this demonstration, we are going to start playing a song. Bonus points to those of you who let us know in the comments what this song is before Shazam does. Once the song starts playing, we will press the "Touch to Shazam" icon.

    Shazam will now begin listening to the song we are playing

    As we can see, Shazam has discovered the song, "Sweater Weather" by The Neighborhood. That is how easy it is to use Shazam to check out a song. We simply play the song, tap the Shazam button, and off we go.
