This is a tutorial on how to set up the Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 smartwatch for the first time. The steps are very straightforward for setting up your new watch for the first time. However, if you are connecting to another Samsung phone, or a different model Android, or even an iPhone or Windows phone, you're going to want to pay close attention to the steps below.

In order to set up your Gear S2 watch, you will need to remove it from the charger and turn it on.

   To remove it from the charger simply grasp the smartwatch, and lift it

   Note that when you lift it from the charger, the watch will revert to an off state.

   Then, move the smartwatch wireless charger out of the way.

   Holding the watch with it facing you, press the bottom right button and hold it

   This will turn on the Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 smartwatch.

   Remove your finger from the button once you see the watch light up and can read the Samsung logo.

   Wait for the information screens to scroll by as your watch loads up.

If your Galaxy Gear S2 smartwatch is in a foreign language, you will have a menu screen which will show you the set up in the foreign language. Note that this only applies to the watch.    To get started, we need to locate the Samsung Galaxy Gear manager and give it a single press

   The Gear manager should be on all Samsung smartphones.

   If it is not on the home screen, navigate to the bottom right side and tap once on 'Apps'

   After tapping on apps you may need to scroll through some screens, and you will see the orange 'Gear' icon. Tap the 'Gear' icon to open the application.

   Once the app is open, press 'Connect to Gear' one time.

   You'll get a message that the phone is connecting to the Gear.

   Once connected, you will see a pop-up with a code.

   Confirm that the code is the same on both devices, and then press 'OK'

   Once you have pressed 'OK', the devices will connect to and synchronize with each other.

   At this point the language will automatically update on your smartwatch

   Continue setting up by tapping the green check box to accept the license terms, and then tapping 'Done'

   Once you've tapped 'Done', your smartwatch is set up.
