The Android operating system is developed by Google, and that's why some of its useful features, like the Play Store, require you sign in through your Google account.
The first time you used your Galaxy Note3, you were asked to sign the device into your Google account. If you signed in during that time, your device already has a Google account assigned to it. If you did not sign in during that time, you need to sign your Note3 in to a Google account to maximize your device's utilization. We also have an article that discusses this. Whether you want to download an application for your device, or your device was stolen and you need to protect your important data on it, signing into your Google account on your device will allow you to enjoy the following benefits:
- Password recovery in case of forgotten lock codes and password.
- Access to Google's applications and features.
- Backup data on your device.
- Restore data on your device.
Create A Google Account
If you don't have a Google account yet, you can create one on your Note3 and set it up to your device by following the procedures below:

Get to your Note3's "Home Screen"

Press on the Back key for a few times until it takes you to the Home screen. Alternatively, you can also press the Home key once to get on the same location.

The Menu-key is the lower-left soft key on your phone. This key will allow you to see available menu.

Touch the "Settings Options"

Tapping on the Settings will allow you to view the available Settings for your device.

From Settings, tap on the fourth tab to open the general options for your Note 3.

Under the General tab, touch on the "Accounts" option

The "Add a Google Account" page will now show. Tap on the "New" button to create your Google account using your Note 3.

Enter your first and last names and tap on the "Next" button

In the "Your Name" page, enter your name and family name on the appropriate tabs. Tap on the Next button to proceed.

Enter your unique Google username and tap on the "Next" button

In this page, you will be asked to choose your username. Choose a unique username and tap on the Next button to proceed.

Enter your desired password and tap on the "Next" button

This page will ask you to enter a password for your account. Enter and verify your password by typing it again, and tap on the Next button to proceed.

Decide if you want to set-up recovery options

For this now, tap on "Not Now".
Optional - You can choose to "Join Google+" or proceed with the next page by tapping on the "Not now" button.

For this now, tap on "Not Now".
Put a check mark on the Communication services box if you want to be updated with news and offers from Google Play. This is an optional feature so leave it unchecked if you do not want to receive updates. Tap on the Next button to proceed.

Enter the captcha characters and tap on the "Next" button

Authenticate your sign-up. Enter the correct captcha characters to prove that your registration is not an automated one.

Decide if you want to set up a credit card

This page will allow you to set up a credit card for your device for purchases with Google Play. Tap on the "Set up credit card" button to set up one; or tap on the "Not now" button to precede to the next page. For this article, tap on the "Not Now" button.

Choose the items you want to sync to your Samsung Galaxy Note3

Your sign-in is now successful, you can choose what data from your Google account that will be synced into your device.
