Setup Two Step Verification on LastPass

You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to set up LastPass and Google Authenticator to enable two-step password verification for your LastPass account.

Let's click "LOG IN" to log into LastPass

We enter our email address and password

From the main menu, we click "Account Settings"

We click "Multifactor Options"
.

We click the edit icon for Google Authenticator

We click the drop-down menu in "Enabled"

We click "Yes" to enable Google Authenticator

We click "View" next to "Barcode"

We will be prompted for the password one more time

We enter it and press "Enter". We will get a barcode that we can scan with our phone.

To scan a barcode, we will need to add an account to Google Authenticator on the phone

We tap on the plus on the top of the screen.

We tap on "Scan barcode"

We will need to scan the barcode with the phone. It will show our LastPass account and password.

On the computer, we click "OK"

We enter our LastPass password

Now, we enter the LastPass password from Google Authenticator

The pop-up window will inform us, "Settings have been successfully updated".

To see that the two-step verification is working, we'll open a private browsing tab

We log in with our email address and private password

We will be asked to authenticate using Google Authenticator.

We enter the current number for LastPass
