Setup Two Step Verification on DreamHost

You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show how to set up two-step verification with Google Authenticator and DreamHost hosting.
Steps

First, we log into the Dreamhost account

Then, we click the "Menu" option

It is on the left-hand side.

We click "BILLING & ACCOUNT"

We will see that enabling multifactor authentication will give us 1GB of free storage on Dream Objects.

We enter our current password

We select "Google Authenticator, Time-Based (recommended)" in "Multifactor Authentication Type"

We will be given the QR code.

We open Google Authenticator on the phone

We tap the plus icon at the top on the right

Now, we enter our six-digit authorization code for "DreamHost Panel" on the computer

We will be given the backup codes to write down and keep in a safe place in case we ever lose Google Authenticator account or the phone we use with Google Authenticator.

We copy the backup codes

Now, we click "Menu" and log out

We reopen our DreamHost account

We enter "Multifactor Authentication Code"

We can click the drop-down menu next to "Remember this computer?"

We can choose "Don't remember", "Remember for 1 week", or "Remember for 1 month".

Let's click "Remember for 1 month"

We update the "DreamHost Panel" code, since it has changed
