   The first thing you need to do is open Kaspersky Total Security

   When the program opens, click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner of the window

   Clicking the gear icon will allow you to access the "Settings" menu.

   When the "Settings" menu opens, click "Scan" on the left hand side of the window

   Then, on the right side of the window, click "Advanced Settings"

   Clicking on "Advanced Settings" will reveal a drop-down menu.

   In this menu, click "Full Scan settings"

   The first option you will see is "Security level".

   You can adjust the security level by clicking and dragging the slider

   You can click and drag the slider up for maximum protection, or down for minimum protection. Keeping the slider in the middle will keep the setting at "Recommended (optimal protection, recommended for most users)".
