   There are two ways to access the timer

   .

   The fast way in case you are on your lock screen is to swipe from the bottom to the top of the screen. This will bring up the quick menu.

   On the bottom menu bar, the second icon, a little clock, is where you will tap to access your clock

   On the bottom of your phone screen, you can click on various options; such as World Clock, Alarm, Stopwatch, and Timer

   Since we are setting the timer, we'll choose the Timer icon. It is the last one at the right bottom corner of your screen.

   By scrolling at the top of the screen, you can set up for hours and minutes

   .

   After you choose the desired time, press the start button a bit further down on the screen. The timer will start counting down.

   When the timer ends, an alarm will sound

   The name of this tone is shown near the middle of the screen on the right side, directly opposite of where it says, "When Timer Ends."

   You can tap on this and a list of ringtones will appear where you can choose which one you prefer

   Click on Set at the top right of the screen to set the ringtone. After the timer is finished, the ringtone will play until you react on the timer.

   To pause the timer, tap the Pause button on the right-hand side, below the ringtone name

   Now you can choose to Cancel, on the left side or Resume, on the right side

   If you choose Cancel, you can restart the timer by choosing the hours and minutes again.

   You can close the main clock by pressing the home button at the bottom of your phone

   This will take you to the home screen.

    You can even close out the screen completely by clicking the power button on the top right

    Even then, the timer will remind you of whatever it is you wanted to be reminded of.

    On the lock screen, under the main clock there is a number counting down

    This is the timer, which should still be going.

    When the timer is finished, the ringtone will sound and a screen will appear that says, "Timer done." Below that it will say, "Tap to stop." Swipe across those words from left to right to stop the timer, just like you slide to unlock the screen
