Set the Sync Interval Between Twitter and an HTC One M8
Edited by Thor, Robert, Eng
Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to set the sync interval period between the Twitter application on the HTC One M8.
- 8What the sync interval means is how often our HTC One M8 will sync with our Twitter account. What it means by "Sync" is to connect and check Twitter. In this example, the phone will check every 1 hour for new messages, new tweets or anybody who's mentioning our name. If we use Twitter a lot and we want to know immediately when we have a new message or a new retweet etc., we may want to decrease the interval time. Now tap on "Sync Interval" but also says "1 hour" underneath to indicate that in this example that is the time selected.
- 9In this example, we'll tap on "5 minutes". We can decrease it to as little as "5 minutes". This means that our phone is going to sync with our account every 5 minutes to see if we have new information. If we don't use Twitter so much and we don't need to know immediately if we have new messages, we might want to make this period longer, for example, "4 hours". We can now see that the button in the settings menu now reads "5 minutes" to indicate the interval we have now selected.Tap on the interval we'd like to have.
