Set the Default Download Location in Google Chrome for Windows 7
Edited by Lukward Thomason, Crystal, Eng
Hi, you're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to set the default download location in the Google Chrome web browser on a Windows 7 computer.
Start by opening the Google Chrome browser. You can double-click the icon or click it once if it's pinned to the taskbar.
Once the window opens, go to the settings. To go to the settings, click the menu button in the top right corner.
Once you're in the settings, scroll down and click "Show advanced settings". This will open the advanced settings.
Scroll down and locate the "Downloads" section. In this case, the download location is C:\Users\Creatura\Downloads.
Change the download location by clicking "Change" to the right of the download location. A new window will open.
Select any folder on the computer. For this example, I'm going to set it to "Desktop".
Once the location has been selected, click "OK" at the bottom.
You can also check the box next to "Ask where to save each file before downloading". If that is checked, it will ask where to save anything before it is downloaded.
This concludes the tutorial on how to set the default download location on the Google Chrome web browser for a Windows 7 computer. If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comment section below. Thank you for watching VisiHow.
